Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Accounting & Financial Services | Remote

About the Role
At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive pipeline and revenue growth across accounting and financial services.
This is a high-ownership, full-cycle sales role that goes beyond traditional appointment setting. You’ll prospect for new business, execute multi-channel outreach, conduct discovery calls, present solutions, and close smaller deals independently.
The ideal candidate has experience selling accounting, bookkeeping, financial, or related professional services and understands how to communicate with SMB owners about their financial and operational challenges.
What You’ll Own
Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Identify and research prospective customers across target verticals, including:
- Churches
- E-commerce
- Construction
- Home services
- Trucking
- Real estate
- Build targeted prospect lists using LinkedIn, directories, and prospecting platforms
- Identify decision-makers and relevant buying signals
- Understand industry-specific pain points and tailor outreach accordingly
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of new prospects
Multi-Channel Outreach
- Execute outbound prospecting through:
- Cold email
- Cold calling
- LinkedIn
- Social platforms
- Personalize messaging based on prospect needs and industry
- Engage prospects and move qualified leads into discovery conversations
- Maintain disciplined follow-up across multiple touchpoints
- Support basic Facebook and Instagram campaigns to generate inbound opportunities
Discovery, Qualification & Closing
- Conduct discovery calls using frameworks such as BANT or MEDDIC
- Understand prospects’ accounting, bookkeeping, and financial-service needs
- Qualify opportunities based on fit, needs, budget, and buying intent
- Present relevant service solutions
- Conduct demos and walkthroughs using tools such as Digits
- Handle objections confidently and professionally
- Prepare proposals and move opportunities toward close
- Independently close smaller deals
- Coordinate with the service delivery team for smooth client onboarding
Pipeline & CRM Management
- Own opportunities from initial prospecting through close
- Maintain consistent follow-up with active prospects
- Track conversations, tasks, and deal stages accurately in the CRM
- Keep pipeline data clean and current
- Ensure opportunities do not stall due to missed follow-ups
- Maintain clear visibility into next steps across every active deal
Reporting & Performance
- Track:
- Outreach activity
- Response rates
- Discovery calls
- Qualified opportunities
- Conversion rates
- Deals closed
- Revenue generated
- Paid campaign performance
- Maintain accurate CRM notes and reporting
- Provide weekly performance insights and pipeline updates
- Identify opportunities to improve messaging, targeting, and conversion
Must-Have Experience & Skills
- Proven B2B sales experience, preferably selling:
- Accounting services
- Bookkeeping services
- Financial services
- Related professional services
- Experience conducting discovery and qualification calls
- Demonstrated ability to close deals independently
- Experience managing opportunities across the full sales cycle
- Strong outbound prospecting and lead-generation experience
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- Apollo
- Salesloft
- Outreach
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM platforms
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong objection-handling and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently during U.S. EST business hours

- Experience selling to SMBs or service-based businesses
- Understanding of accounting workflows and financial operations

What a Typical Day Looks Like
You may start by researching target accounts and building prospect lists before moving into cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
Throughout the day, you’ll conduct discovery calls, qualify prospects, demonstrate solutions, handle objections, prepare proposals, and move active opportunities toward close.
You’ll also maintain CRM records, follow up with prospects, review campaign performance, and coordinate successful new clients with the service delivery team.
In short: you own the sales process from prospecting through close and turn qualified opportunities into revenue.
