How RoleRasta handles your information

1. Scope

This policy applies when you visit RoleRasta, create an account, build a candidate profile, upload a resume, purchase an access pass, save jobs, track applications, or contact us. RoleRasta is responsible for the product data described here.

Employers and their applicant tracking systems operate independently. Their privacy policies apply after you leave RoleRasta to view or submit an application.

2. Information we collect

• Account information such as your name, email address, authentication records, and account status.
• Candidate information such as work history, education, skills, preferences, location, seniority, and resume content.
• Job activity such as searches, filters, saved jobs, followed companies, application stages, and matching activity.
• Purchase information such as the selected plan, payment status, transaction reference, access period, refunds, and disputes. We do not need to store your complete card or bank credentials.
• Technical information such as IP address, device and browser information, request logs, security events, and basic product analytics.
• Communications you send to support, privacy, refund, or legal channels.

3. How we use information

• Operate accounts, authentication, access passes, and candidate features.
• Parse resumes and create profile fields when you request those features.
• Generate job matches, skill alignment, eligibility explanations, and product recommendations.
• Maintain saved jobs, application tracking, and candidate preferences.
• Process and verify purchases, prevent fraud, investigate disputes, and maintain transaction records.
• Secure, debug, measure, and improve RoleRasta.
• Send account, security, access, and service communications.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. AI-assisted processing

RoleRasta uses automated and AI-assisted systems for functions including resume parsing, job eligibility analysis, profile matching, and skill-gap explanations. These outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. They support your decision-making and do not make employment decisions on behalf of an employer.

Do not upload sensitive information that is unnecessary for a job search, such as national identity numbers, bank details, medical records, or passwords.

5. Service providers and sharing

We may share the minimum necessary information with providers that support:

• Cloud hosting, databases, authentication, storage, and security.
• Email delivery and account communications.
• AI processing used for candidate and job-intelligence features.
• Payment processing, transaction verification, fraud prevention, refunds, and disputes.
• Product analytics, error monitoring, and operational support.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, during a business reorganisation, or with your direction. We do not sell candidate profiles to employers or data brokers.

6. International processing

Some service providers may process information outside Pakistan. Where that happens, we use providers and contractual arrangements intended to protect the information throughout the processing.

7. Retention

We retain account and candidate information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for recovery, security, disputes, legal compliance, and backups. Transaction and access records may be retained for accounting, fraud, and regulatory purposes. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably required.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No online system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your password and notifying us if you suspect unauthorised account access.

9. Your choices and requests

You may update profile information through your account. You may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or an explanation of how your information is handled, subject to identity verification and legal retention requirements.

10. Children

RoleRasta is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated through the product or by email.
